West Pattee Library to host public viewing of Election Day coverage

Closed captioned and audio options available for watching Nov. 8 media coverage

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Viewing of the Election Day coverage on Nov. 8 will be available in the News and Microforms Library on the ground floor of West Pattee Library on Penn State’s University Park campus. Three televisions and the Film Video Viewing Room with its large screen will feature coverage by four networks, representing the diversity of political viewpoints. Coverage includes live reports, commentary and updates of election results from state and national races on the ticker. The viewing will conclude at midnight.

In the News and Microforms Library in W21 Pattee, broadcasts will be closed captioned with audio transmitted wirelessly through a limited number of MP3 players with headsets, as well as through the use of a downloadable app on personal devices with headsets. In the Film Video Viewing Room, W22 Pattee, the broadcast coverage will include audio.
