UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 Shirley Hendrick Award, which recognizes a Penn State administrator whose work has significantly advanced the University’s efforts to serve adult learners.

The Commission for Adult Learners will accept nominations through Nov. 30.

The award recipient will be honored at the Hendrick Best Practices for Adult Learners Conference on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at The Nittany Lion Inn.

The award is open to administrators whose efforts have made an impact on the accessibility of programs and services to adult learners through the University community.

Hendrick, who served as an associate dean for continuing education in the Smeal College of Business, was a tireless advocate for adult learners. The award was named in her honor.
