U.S. senator, vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine to visit Penn State Friday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa - U.S. Senator and Democratic Party vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine will visit Penn State’s University Park campus on Friday, Oct. 21. Kaine will speak in Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., and the program is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. To RSVP, visit http://hrc.io/TKOct21. An RSVP will not guarantee an entry, as admission is first come, first served.

Traffic will be restricted on Pollock Road in front of the HUB starting at 8:30 a.m. Faculty and staff with parking permits to the nearby lots will still have access.

What to expect:

Expect a line. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., and the pre-program will not begin until 2:30 p.m.

Bring comfortable shoes. Parking close to the venue is limited to ADA permit holders. Use of public transportation is advised.

Expect tight security. University Police will be on hand. Metal detectors will screen attendees at the doors. Do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones.

Bags, backpacks, weapons, sharp objects, chairs, non-disposable water bottles, strollers, umbrellas and signs or banners will not be allowed through security. There will be no secure place to store items outside the building, so leave items at home or in cars. The University will not be responsible for items left unattended.
