Darcy Rameker named director of Student Activities

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Darcy Rameker has been named director of Student Activities, a unit of Penn State Student Affairs, effective Oct. 3. Rameker had been serving as the interim director of Student Activities since June 2015.

In her new role, Rameker will provide leadership for the student activities program, including recognized student organizations, service and leadership programs; campus programming; Commonwealth Campus student activities; and University affiliate student organizations.

“I am excited to continue working with colleagues across the University to create meaningful educational and experiential opportunities for students,” said Rameker. “It is truly rewarding to see students grow and develop through their involvement and become actively engaged in our community.”

Rameker has been with Student Activities at Penn State in various roles since 2007. Most recently, she held the positions of associate director and interim director. Prior to joining Student Activities, Rameker worked in Residence Life and was a community health educator with the Office of Health Promotion and Wellness at Penn State.

Rameker is active on many University committees, including the Convocation Committee and the University Conduct Board.

"Throughout her years at Penn State, Darcy has been a valued adviser to the students with whom she works, a trusted colleague and an important member of the Student Affairs and Student Activities teams,” said Barry Bram, senior director of Student Engagement Programs. “I have every confidence that she will thrive in the permanent role and look forward to the great work that she'll do on behalf of Penn State students."
