UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Housing and Food Service contract system, eLiving.psu.edu, opens Oct. 16. Requests for rooms in renovated residence halls, Eastview Terrace, Nittany Apartments, White Course Apartments, suites, and single rooms can be made until noon on Nov. 28. Requests for traditional residence halls and supplemental housing can be made until noon on Jan. 19.

Students requesting on-campus housing should keep the following information in mind:

  • Contracts are offered through a lottery system in three rounds.
  • Contracts can only be requested and accepted by the student.
  • Expired contracts cannot be re-offered.
  • Accepted contracts are legally-binding and cannot be canceled.
  • A request does not guarantee a contract offer.
  • Contract acceptance must occur before the deadline indicated on the offer.
  • Preferences for housing area, building, room type, roommate, and Campus Meal Plan level can be indicated when accepting a contract.
  • Housing preferences are not guaranteed.
  • Preferences can be modified until noon on April 14.
  • After accepting a contract, students can join a waitlist to change housing locations beginning at noon on Friday, Feb. 3, at eLiving.psu.edu. Students will be reassigned as space becomes available.
