Sending a 'We Are!' and thank you to these Penn Staters

This week, we recognize three Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University.

Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? If you do, consider taking a minute to nominate that person by filling out a short online form.

This week, it's thank you to:

Laura Brown, in the Division of Undergraduate Studies, whose nominator wrote: "My Penn State experience would not be the same if I was not chosen by Laura Brown to be part of Discover House my freshman year. She is amazing and her dedication to D-House is tremendous. I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for Laura's guidance and friendship."

Doug Shreffler, at Penn State Harrisburg, whose nominator wrote: "Doug's user-centric and positive attitude make him someone you want to see when you're having an IT crisis. This was the case recently when I was faced with a situation that didn't come up in testing, less than an hour before an event was to start. True to form, Doug had the solution!"

Lisa Brooks, in the College of the Liberal Arts, whose nominator wrote: "Lisa is perhaps the most approachable person I have ever worked with. She is extremely good with students and her sense of humor is beyond belief. She can make a taxing situations seem easy with her wit. It's a delight to work with her and learn from her."
