Enterprise CarShare, a car-sharing service from Enterprise Rent-A-Car recently launched at University Park, added new vehicle options and an additional rental location for the fall semester.
With the addition of one Nissan Altima and one Nissan Sentra at a section of Lot 42 near Nittany Apartments and a Nissan Pathfinder at a section of Lot Brown 11 at White Course Apartments, Enterprise now offers six vehicles for rent across four campus locations. One Altima and one Sentra are also available at a section of Lot 81 near South and Pollock Halls, while an Altima is also available at a section of Lot Yellow E located along Curtin Road near the Visual Arts Building.
New members can join for $1 and receive $5 hourly driving rates until Dec. 31. All Penn State students, faculty, and staff ages 18 and up with a valid driver’s license, including international driver’s licenses, can join at www.EnterpriseCarShare.com/psu. The membership includes fuel, dedicated parking spaces, maintenance, and easy reservations via the Enterprise CarShare mobile app.
A cost-effective alternative to car ownership, the membership-based service offers the freedom and flexibility of using a vehicle while only paying for the hours it is being used. Enterprise CarShare vehicles are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with low rates by the hour, the day, overnight and weekends. Enterprise CarShare’s automated rental process through the mobile app allows members to login and reserve a vehicle anytime, anywhere.
While state minimum physical damage and liability insurance coverage is provided, users are strongly encouraged to verify coverage through their own insurance provider before registering for this service. Use of the Enterprise CarShare service is also limited to personal use only, and may not be used for travel related to University business.
Members can download the Enterprise CarShare app for iPhone and Android devices to make or modify reservations, extend rentals, and choose pickup locations.
Enterprise CarShare is currently available in more than 35 states, Canada and the U.K., as well as on more than 100 university campuses.
