Faculty Center in LionPATH now live

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Faculty Center in LionPATH is used for faculty and staff who have teaching responsibilities so that they may access and view teaching schedules and class roster information. Faculty also can choose email options to send important class information to their students. The Faculty Center also will provide faculty with grading options and exam information.

Although this functionality is called Faculty Center, it is available to anyone who is assigned to teach a class, but it is not available to faculty who are not teaching.

Access to Faculty Center

  • Instructors, including teaching assistants, will automatically be given access when they are assigned to teach a class, but it may take 24 hours after they log in to LionPATH.
  • If an instructor doesn’t see a class on his/her schedule, contact the person in the academic unit who is responsible for assigning instructors to classes.

Dates for Functionality to be Released

  • June 29, 2016: instructor's schedule, class rosters, Search for Classes, Browse Course Catalog
  • September 2016: instructors can input grades, and final exam information is available

Class Roster Information

The view of the class roster can be by:

  • Students enrolled
  • Students on the wait list
  • Students who have dropped (available after the first day of classes)

Class rosters also include the ability to email students.

  • Instructors can select the entire roster to email or just part of it.
  • The email includes the instructor’s email address, so responses from students will be sent to that address.
  • The instructor’s email address is included in the ‘To’ portion of the email. Student email addresses are included in the ‘BCC’ portion.
