The Aug. 1 deadline for the 2017-18 Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar program competition is fast approaching. Award descriptions can be found in the Fulbright online catalog which offers options for scholars and professionals interested in the program. Faculty planning to apply for a sabbatical are encouraged to consider applying for a Fulbright as well.
Fulbright updates:
- There are no more lifetime limits on Fulbright scholar grants
- Senior scholars are encouraged to consider the distinguished vhair awards, which afford them opportunities to share their expertise at renowned institutions abroad.
- Early career scholars may consider the postdoctoral and early career opportunities, for scholars who have recently completed their doctoral degrees.
- Flex awards (mostly for research) exist for scholars who cannot afford a long-term grant duration. Flex grants require multiple short-term visits to a host country.
Please visit Global Programs for more information on webinars and registration.
The Fulbright Scholars Program, sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs section of the U.S. State Department, provides funding for scholars, teachers, and professionals to undertake advanced research and teaching activities around the world.
