Admissions director appointed at Penn College

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Ashley R. Murphy has been named director of admissions at Pennsylvania College of Technology.Murphy comes to Penn College from Oregon State University, where she served as head advisor/director of operations, graduate business programs in the College of Business.Previously, she worked at NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation, where she was senior director of membership and marketing, as well as director of communications and marketing; New York University, where she served as director and associate director of admissions for the School of Professional Studies; and Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, where she held the positions of assistant director of admissions, admissions counselor and admissions coordinator.A Muncy native, Murphy holds a master of science in human resource management and development, with a concentration in organizational effectiveness, from New York University and a bachelor of arts in telecommunications, with a minor in Spanish, from Penn State.“We are thrilled to welcome Ashley to Penn College,” said Carolyn R. Strickland, vice president for enrollment management/associate provost. “She brings a broad range of experiences in, and depth of knowledge about, admissions and enrollment management.
