Student season ticket sale begins June 20

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The 2016 Penn State student football season ticket sale begins Monday, June 20. The senior class and graduate students open the annual sale on June 20, followed by the juniors (Tuesday, June 21), sophomores (Wednesday, June 22) and freshmen (Thursday, June 23).

There is no price increase this year for tickets in the Penn State Student Section presented by The Apartment Store. The seven-game home season ticket package will remain at $218. Students can also purchase an official 2016 White Out shirt - Short Sleeve ($26) or Long Sleeve ($30) - during the sale.

All sales will begin at 7 a.m. (Eastern) and close at 2 p.m. Please note that sales may close prior to 2 p.m., if tickets sell out. Eligibility and the daily schedule are posted at Student Central: www.GoPSUsports.com/studentcentral.

Intercollegiate Athletics recommends that all students eligible to participate thoroughly review all sale instructions before their assigned ticket sale date. Students should also consider printing out a copy of the Quick Start sale instructions that is posted on www.GoPSUsports.com/studentcentral for reference while purchasing their ticket. Individual sale dates are determined by credits earned by May 30, 2016. All students eligible to participate in the sale received an email from Penn State Athletics Wednesday morning confirming their sale date. All sales will occur online.

Students looking forward to being part of what ESPN The Magazine called, "The Nation's No. 1 Student Section," will be a part of a home schedule that includes five Big Ten opponents for the first time in program history -- Minnesota (Oct. 1), Maryland (Oct. 8 - noon, Homecoming), Ohio State (Oct. 22 -- 8 p.m.), Iowa (Nov. 5 -- 7:30 p.m.) and Michigan State (Nov. 26, Senior Day). Penn State also hosts Ken State (Sept. 3) and Temple (Sept. 17) in non-conference play.

The online sale is open only to full-time registered students with each class being allocated a specific amount of tickets. A "Sold Out" message will be posted to Student Central when ticket resources have been exhausted for that day's respective class sale.

Specific questions about the sale can be addressed by calling the Athletics Customer Relations Center at 1-800-NITTANY (648-8269) from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Athletics Customer Relations Center hours during the sale week (June 20-23) will be 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Customers can also send questions to: studenttickets@psu.edu.

Penn State opens the 2016 campaign against Kent State at Beaver Stadium on Saturday, September 3.

Season tickets for the 2016 campaign, which includes five Big Ten home games for the first time are on sale, with more than 3,500 new season tickets having been sold. There will not be any increase in the price of Penn State football season tickets or Nittany Lion Club donation levels for next season.

Seniors and Graduate Students -- Monday, June 20: Sale begins at 7 a.m. (ET). Sale concludes when all Senior and Graduate Student allocated tickets are sold or 2 p.m. (ET). Sale may close early if class allocation is sold out.

Juniors -- Tuesday, June 21: Sale begins at 7 a.m. (ET). Sale concludes when all Junior allocated tickets are sold or 2 p.m. (ET). Sale may close early if class allocation is sold out.

Sophomores -- Wednesday, June 22: Sale begins at 7 a.m. (ET). Sale concludes when all Sophomore allocated tickets are sold or 2 p.m. (ET). Sale may close early if class allocation is sold out.

Freshmen (First Year Students) -- Thursday, June 23: Sale begins at 7 a.m. (ET). Sale concludes when all Freshmen allocated tickets are sold or 2 p.m. (ET). Sale may close early if class allocation is sold out.
