The Nittany Lions are seeking their first trip to the NCAA semifinals since 1999. Sunday's 14-13 overtime win at Florida was the team's first victory against the Gators on the road and set up Penn State's fourth quarterfinal appearance in five seasons.

The last time Penn State hosted a game with a berth to the semifinals on the line was 1995 when the Nittany Lions defeated James Madison, 11-7.

The Nittany Lions hold a 9-6 edge over the Quakers in the all-time series, but Penn has won the last four meetings (2006-09). The last time the two programs met in the NCAA tournament was in 1983 when the Lions hosted the Quakers in University Park.

The 2016 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Semifinals (May 27) and Championship (May 29) are hosted by Saint Joseph's University at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pennsylvania.
