Wang receives award from ACTStat

Ming Wang, assistant professor of public health sciences at Penn State College of Medicine, has received the 2016 Junior Faculty Presentation Award from the Association of Clinical and Translational Statisticians (ACTStat). Nominees were evaluated based on the merit of their statistical research and how it could be applied to clinical and translational science.

Wang was the only junior faculty member selected to receive the award for 2016. As part of the award, Wang will give an invited talk during ACTStat’s annual meeting in late July in Chicago.

Wang is part of the KL2 Program, which is sponsored by the Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute. It provides a supportive, interdisciplinary environment in which junior faculty scholars with diverse research interests and backgrounds can network with other health researchers. Through the program, scholars acquire the skills and experience to become successful, independent, clinical and translational scientists.
