UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — This week, we recognize four Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University and in doing so embody one of the Penn State Values. Thank you to:

Christy Helms, in Human Resources, for Responsibility, whose nominator wrote: "Christy is committed to the team! She recently offered to help with extra work, which directly supports staff and faculty, despite the fact that her plate was full! Her ability to strategically think about how to get things done while keeping an eye on the big picture is appreciated by all."

Crystal Deitz, in Auxiliary and Business Services, for Community, whose nominator wrote: "Crystal always has a smile and is willing to pitch in and help everyone in our department. She truly is a team player."

Mary Subbink, at Penn State New Kensington, whose nominator wrote: "Mary is the campus registrar at Penn State New Kensington, and she has been amazing in her adaptability to all the system changes that have come her way. She is able to consistently troubleshoot in new areas, and she is a leader on campus as we meet all of the newness with a positive outlook."

Allison Subasic, with Student Affairs, whose nominator wrote: "Much more than the director of the LGBTQA Student Resource Center, she'll take on the mother role. She genuinely cares about the students in the Penn State community — whether they come into the center or not."

Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? If you do, consider taking a minute to nominate that person for a "We Are!" Fill out a short online form, or for more information about the process, visit the "We Are!" guidelines.
