UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State Uplifting Athletes chapter is auctioning off five autographed game-used footballs from the Blue-White Game on GoPSUsports.com. The auction runs until Wednesday, June 1 at noon.

The auction, which can be found at http://psucharity.cstvauctions.com/gallery.cfm, features three Blue-White Game balls with the Uplifting Athletes logo, are autographed by Penn State head coach James Franklin, while the two others autographed by Franklin, defensive coordinator Brent Pry and offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead. The net proceeds from the auction will benefit the Penn State chapter of Uplifting Athletes.

The 14th annual Penn State Lift for Life will take place Saturday, July 16, at 11 a.m. at the Penn State Lacrosse Field. Last July, the 13th annual Penn State Uplifting Athletes Lift for Life raised more than $120,000. Last year's fundraising efforts brought the cumulative total of funds raised to more than $1.1 million to benefit kidney cancer research and the rare disease community.

The nationwide network of Uplifting Athletes chapters led by college football student-athletes help bring the vision of Uplifting Athletes to life, which is to empower people to take action against rare diseases and inspires the medical community to find cures. The rare disease community has benefitted from the efforts of Uplifting Athletes since Penn State football players hosted the first Lift for Life in 2003.
