Men's track and field No. 14 in USTFCCCA rankings

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Penn State men's track and field team checks in at No. 14 in the latest NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field National Coaches Poll, as announced Monday by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).The Nittany Lion men start week four at No. 14 after coming off a very successful weekend competing at both the Stanford Twilight in California and the Bucknell Team Challenge in Lewisburg.

Penn State had a few key performances in Stanford, California, Including Brannon Kidder’s come from behind win in the men’s 1,500-meters in an NCAA No. 4 time of 3:40.11.

At the Bucknell Team Challenge, the Penn State men’s team dominated the competition turning in multiple seasons best marks while racking up a team score of 201 points.

At the regional level, the men's track and field team remain the No. 1 squad in the Mid-Atlantic region.The Nittany Lions travel to Philadelphia this weekend for the annual Penn Relays at Historic Franklin Field Apr. 28-30.Penn State currently boasts six student-athletes in the Top 20 of the NCAA in their respective events including Brian Leap (53' 4.5"/16.27m), Isaiah Harris (1:46.05), and Brannon Kidder (3:40.11) who are ranked in the top-five in the triple jump, 800-meters, and 1,500-meters, respectively.
