University Police investigating two incidents of theft

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Police are investigating two incidents of theft that occurred in a remote parking lot, Lot 83W. Two vehicles, both older model sedans, had the catalytic converters removed. The thefts occurred sometime between April 10 and April 16.

It appears that the person(s) removing the property are using power tools to complete the thefts.Anyone with information should contact Penn State University Police at 814-863-1111 or Centre County Crime Stoppers at tip@centrecountycrimestoppers.org. Persons providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 from Centre County Crime Stoppers.

University Police would also like to remind the community to:

  • Report all suspicious persons or vehicles immediately.
  • Make sure all vehicles are locked properly and you park close to lights and high-traffic areas.
