Student Farm Club to engage community with plant sale

The Penn State Student Farm Club is hosting a plant sale of its locally raised vegetables and herbs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 29, at its greenhouse, Headhouse 2, located across Curtin Road from the Penn State Berkey Creamery.

All plants available for purchase at the sale have been grown on campus by members of the Student Farm Club. All proceeds from the sale will go directly toward supporting the club’s efforts to bolster sustainable agriculture and connect the community to its food system.

“The plant sale is a great opportunity for us to connect with the community by providing local produce directly to Penn Staters,” said club co-director Hayly Hoch.

Attendees are advised to arrive as early as possible, as many items are expected to sell out before the conclusion of the sale at 3 p.m. Cash will be the only acceptable form of payment.

More information about the Student Farm Club can be found on the club's website.
