University Police investigating attempted robbery

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State University Police are investigating a report of an attempted robbery that occurred between 4 and 5 a.m. on April 16 near the intersection of Bigler and Pollock roads on the University Park campus.

The two victims, both students, reported they were walking in the area when a silver sedan stopped beside them and the front passenger of the vehicle asked for money and then pointed a silver handgun at them. No other description of the vehicle can be made. The passenger of the vehicle was described as an African American male. The vehicle continued to travel north on Bigler Road.
