MCKEESPORT, Pa. — Students and alumni are invited to attend Penn State Greater Allegheny’s upcoming business etiquette dinner. The event, sponsored by the Student Government Association, will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, in the Ostermayer Room in the Student Community Center at Penn State Greater Allegheny.
Guests will learn the basics of proper social etiquette that is required to make a strong first impression at an interview or business dinner function. Additional topics will be discussed, including acceptable greeting techniques, proper conversation topics, how to eat difficult food items without looking unprofessional, choosing the right attire, and global business relations.
“This dinner is a fun and pressure-free opportunity for students to learn some basic business etiquette," said Erica C. Tachoir, career services coordinator and instructor in communication. "They learn skills that they can use for job or graduate school interviews, business dinners, and events throughout their careers."
