York campus to honor outstanding students, faculty and staff on April 17

YORK, Pa. — Penn State York will honor the academic achievements and service of its outstanding students, faculty and staff for the 2015-16 academic year during the 45th annual Academic Awards Ceremony, set for 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at Heritage Hills Golf Resort, located at 2700 Mt. Rose Ave. in York. More than 80 academic and service awards will be presented during the program.

Awards will be presented by a variety of campus groups and several community organizations, including the Rotary Club. Highlights of the program include the presentation of the Eric A. and Josephine S. Walker Award, the James H. Burness Awards for Excellence in Teaching, the Penn State York Advising Award, and the Faculty Scholarship and Creative Accomplishments Award.To register for the event, contact Cynthia Jones at csj11@psu.edu.
