UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — This week, we recognize four Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University. Thank you to:

Carol Mellott, in the College of the Liberal Arts, whose nominator wrote: "Carol Mellott works as the assistant coordinator of grants and contracts. She makes a potentially stressful process delightful. She knows the requirements intimately and helps faculty and graduate students in a productive and kind way. I am thankful for her support!"

James Simparosa, at World Campus, whose nominator wrote: "Jim is an IT specialist who was moved to a new unit. Jim has embraced the change with enthusiasm and has been promoted to a team lead role. He continues to grow personally as well as help others to thrive with change."

Candee Christy, at Penn State New Kensington, whose nominator wrote: "Candee is the staff assistant to the chancellor and so much more. She works behind the scenes of many campus events making sure things run smoothly. Candee should be recognized for her willingness to help anyone and everyone in the Penn State New Kensington community."

Lynette Goodrow, in Human Resources, whose nominator wrote: "Lynette exemplifies the quiet excellence of many of our Penn State staff. She is smart and organized; she handles a high volume of essential administrative tasks very efficiently; and she treats everyone with respect and genuine warmth and caring. She makes our lives better every day."
