Penn State to host spring Enterprise Integration Consortium board meeting

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Enterprise Integration Consortium (EIC) at Penn State will hold an Industry Advisory Board (IAB) meeting April 4-5 at the Ramada State College Hotel and Conference Center.

The EIC is a multidisciplinary education and research group that focuses on issues related to enterprise integration technologies and applications, supply chain management and enterprise resource planning systems. Departments from the College of Engineering and Smeal College of Business at University Park and the Behrend, Great Valley and Harrisburg campuses are involved in the EIC. In addition, the Center for Supply Chain Research and the Penn State Behrend RFID Center of Excellence also participate.

The IAB is a select group of industry representatives who provide guidance to the EIC on academic programming, industry trends and opportunities for industry collaboration. This link between academia and industry helps the involved academic units better serve the current and future needs of industry. Companies that currently serve on the IAB include: Alcoa; Amazon.com; CNH Industrial; Crayola, LLC; Eastman Kodak Company; Kimberly-Clark; National Institute of Standards and Technology; SAP AG; TEKsystems; TE Connectivity; The Hershey Company; Theme Work Analytics, LLC; Tyco Electronics; Wal-Mart; Wipro Technologies; and more.

A record 67 industry representatives, faculty members and students are expected to attend the two-day event to report on current and future research projects and initiatives that support the mission of the EIC.
