Abstract deadline extended for Pediatric Research Day

HERSHEY, Pa. — The deadline to submit abstracts for the Eighth Pediatric Research Day has been extended to Friday, March 11. Only completed abstracts will be accepted. To submit an abstract and register for Pediatric Research Day, click here.

All Penn State researchers, physicians, residents, staff and students who contribute to the mission of advancing pediatric research or who feel that their research may have the potential to do so are invited to submit abstracts of new work or work presented at national meetings in the past two years to be included in the Research Day abstract book. Basic science and clinical abstracts are equally encouraged. Nurses, medical students and graduate students are also encouraged to contribute.

Accepted abstracts will be presented in either poster or lecture format. Posters presented recently at local or national meetings are suitable for presentation.

Pediatric Research Day will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, at the Hershey Lodge. The day is an opportunity to showcase ongoing research on children’s health issues and to identify new collaborations that will help produce tomorrow’s breakthroughs.

A keynote lecture will be given by Dr. Jonathan Finkelstein, vice chair for quality and outcomes in the Department of Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital, and associate professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.
