Police investigating series of burglaries in Wolf Hall

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State University Police are investigating a series of burglaries reported to have occurred in Wolf Hall sometime between Feb. 22 and Feb. 29, University Police announced today (March 1).

Wolf Hall is located in the southeast area of the University Park campus, adjacent to Pollock and Bigler roads.

The incidents involved unknown persons removing money from wallets and stealing personal property from residence hall rooms.

University Police are seeking help from the Penn State community and are asking for any information relating to these incidents. Anyone with information or who was a victim of a similar crime should contact University Police at 814-863-1111.

Tips can be submitted to Centre County Crime Stoppers at tip@centrecountycrimestoppers.org. People providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

Anonymous tips may also be submitted to University Police http://www.police.psu.edu/psu-police/report-crime.cfm.

University Police are also advising students to:

  • Not leave personal items unattended for any period of time;
  • Immediately report items stolen to the police;
  • Call University Police at 863-1111, 911 or directly by using an emergency phone, if you see someone getting victimized; and
  • Not allow unescorted guests inside the building.
