School of Music ensembles to perform at 10th annual President's Concert

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State School of Music and the Penn State Alumni Association proudly present the 10th annual President's Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, in the Forum Auditorium in Harrisburg. The concert, including performances by the Concert Choir conducted by Christopher Kiver, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble conducted by Dennis Glocke, and Centre Dimensions Jazz Ensemble led by Dan Yoder, is hosted by Penn State president Eric J. Barron. Admission is free and no ticket is required.

Prior to the concert, the Penn State Alumni Association will host a reception from 6–7 p.m. in the Main Rotunda of the State Capitol Building. Alumni and friends can enjoy hors d'oeuvres, open bar, and socializing with other Penn Staters. Those attending the reception will be escorted to reserved seating for the concert.

Admission to the reception is $35 for Alumni Association members; $50 for non-members; $10 for students ages 6-17; and free for children age 5 and under. To register for the reception, please click here. Registration is necessary only for the pre-concert reception. If you are attending the concert only, you do not need to register. 

The annual President's Concert series provides an opportunity for Penn State students to present concerts in the most renowned performance venues on the East Coast. In its history, Penn State ensembles have traveled to Heinz Hall (Pittsburgh), Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.), Carnegie Hall (New York), Kimmel Center (Philadelphia), the Strathmore Centre (Bethesda, Maryland), and the National Presbyterian Church in Washington D.C.
