VISITOR PARKING

General visitor parking for THON will be available at Stadium West, Lot 44 and Porter North from Friday, Feb. 19, through Sunday, Feb. 21.

It is expected that all parking areas near the Bryce Jordan Center will reach capacity at various times this weekend. It is paramount that all vehicles be parked within all lines of a legal space to allow maximum access. Due to heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic, motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in the vicinity of the Bryce Jordan Center from Friday, Feb. 19, through Sunday, Feb. 21.

TRAFFIC ADVISORIES

Beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, spectators will begin crossing Curtin Road to form lines at Gates A and B of the Bryce Jordan Center. From 3 to 4:30 p.m., Curtin Road will be restricted to transit buses only. During this crossing, University Police and THON committee members will be assisting with this crossing to ensure pedestrian safety. Motorists are asked to avoid the section of Curtin Road between University Drive and Porter Road.

The Dancers Walk will take place on Friday, Feb. 19, from 4 to 5 p.m. The walk will begin at the Multi-Sport Facility and proceed north along the drive lane on the west side of Lot 44 to the Bryce Jordan Center. During this time, the drive lane along the west side of Lot 44 will be closed from the Multi-Sport Facility to Lot Orange L East (Founders Lot). Dauer Drive (located south of the Bryce Jordan Center) will also be closed from Porter Road to University Drive.

During the Dancers Walk, all vehicles exiting Lot 44 will be directed east to exit on to Porter Road. Vehicles parked at Lot Orange L East will be allowed to exit via the north lot entrance/exit only, and will then be required to proceed north to Curtin Road or east to Porter Road. No traffic will be allowed to exit Lot 44 via Dauer Drive (Located south of the Bryce Jordan Center). All access to Lot 44 will be from Curtin Road or Porter Road only.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, Curtin Road will be closed to all traffic except CATA buses from University Drive to Porter Road.

TRANSIT CHANGES

From 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, CATA’s RED LINK campus service will be rerouted to avoid the interior of Lot 44. RED LINK buses traveling eastbound to Innovation Park will stay on Curtin Road to Porter Road, turning left on Porter and resuming the normal route to Innovation Park. The RED LINK westbound will follow the normal routing to Porter Road where it will turn right on Curtin Road and resume normal routing on to campus. The Porter Road stop east of Lot 44 will not be used from 4 to 5 p.m.
