Speaker applications now being accepted for TEDx event at Penn State Behrend

ERIE, Pa. — Applications are now being accepted for speakers who would like to be considered for TEDxPSUErie, an independently organized TED event that will be held on the campus of Penn State Behrend.

TEDxPSUErie is scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, and carries the theme “Thinking Across Boundaries.” The event is designed to foster learning, inspiration and wonder by bringing bright minds together to discuss a variety of subjects.

Interested speakers can apply by uploading a 60-second video and topic summary to the TEDxPSUErie website. Submissions are due by Monday, Feb. 22.

More than 100 people are expected to attend TEDxPSUErie. The event also will be available for live viewing through livestream.com. Every speaker and performer presentation will be uploaded to the TEDx YouTube channel, and the videos could be featured on TED’s main website.

This independent TEDx event is sponsored by the Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend. For more information, contact Dave Causgrove, lecturer in marketing and TEDxPSUErie curator, at djc11@psu.edu.
