HERSHEY, Pa. — Eli Webb and Noah Schreffler, two first-graders from Middletown, recently came home from school with an idea: They wanted to bake and sell cookies and donate the money raised to Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.

After baking the cookies with the help of their parents, the boys sold them door-to-door in their neighborhood. Eli’s mother also staged an open house one afternoon, encouraging people to stop by and purchase cookies.

The result of their efforts was a check for $1,368.15, which they recently presented to the Children’s Hospital’s Child Life Program.
