2016 Mid-Atlantic Field Crop Weed Management Guide available

UNIVERSITY Park, Pa. -- The 2016 Mid-Atlantic Field Crop Weed Management Guide is now available.

Prepared by faculty and extension specialists from Penn State, University of Delaware, University of Maryland, Virginia Tech and West Virginia University, this nearly 240-page regional manual provides strategies and herbicide tables for managing weeds in corn, sorghum, soybeans, small grains, legumes, grass forages and pastures.

The guide provides detailed coverage of problem weeds such as burcucumber, henbit, horsenettle, horseweed/marestail, Palmer amaranth and waterhemp, common pokeweed, common and giant ragweed, and annual/Italian ryegrasses.

"For the first time in the mid-Atlantic, this weed management guide relied on multiple experts from across the region to provide the latest weed-control information and recommendations," said Bill Curran, professor of weed science in Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences. "We are really excited to make this new publication available to our farmers and ag professionals."

As of Dec. 2017, the price for the paper book version is $25; an interactive PDF computer version is $15. The price for the book and the PDF is $35. Most major credit cards are accepted. Call toll free 877-345-0691 to order.
