Board of Trustees shifts 2016 meeting schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Board of Trustees voted at its November 2015 meeting to adjust the 2016 meeting cycle, which will impact the previously scheduled January and March board meetings.

Communications with trustees began in September 2015 regarding consideration of the 2016 meeting cycle to allow time for the board to focus on trustee professional development and the need and desire to focus on board assessment activities.

Because the January and March business items addressed by the board could be easily condensed into one business meeting cycle, the board unanimously approved moving the previously scheduled March 2016 meetings to Feb. 25 and 26 in Hershey and will use the scheduled January 2016 meeting dates for a non-public trustee retreat to focus on board assessment, professional development and training opportunities.
