Over the last several days, dozens of “White Student Union” pages sprouted on Facebook claiming to be affiliated with various universities, including Penn State.
The University was alerted over the weekend of this page using Penn State’s name and athletic logo. We were in the process of requesting that Facebook take the profile down, when it was removed from the site. This page had no affiliation with our University and we found it disturbing and uncivil. We will be watching closely to ensure that the page does not resurface in another form.
