UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Engineering Graduate Student Council is accepting abstracts for the 13th annual College of Engineering Research Symposium (CERS).

The symposium will be held April 5, 2016, at the Nittany Lion Inn.

CERS gives students an opportunity to showcase the cutting-edge interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary research they are conducting, in paper and poster formats, to a diverse audience of Penn State engineering and science faculty, students and industry representatives.

Students can obtain feedback on their submissions and compete for best graduate and undergraduate paper or poster awards.

Last year's CERS featured 48 paper presentations and 54 poster presentations.

According to bioengineering graduate student and CERS 2016 chair Keith Mickolajczyk, up to $5,000 will be awarded at the 2016 symposium.

To participate in CERS, students must submit an abstract (maximum 150 words) for a paper or poster via the CERS 2016 website by Dec. 11.

Additional deadlines include: Papers, Feb. 26, 2016; posters, March 23, 2016; and Art in Science images, March 28, 2016.

For more information, contact Mickolajczyk at kjm378@psu.edu.
