Equal Opportunity Planning Committee now accepting funding proposals

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. --The Equal Opportunity Planning Committee (EOPC) is now accepting proposals for funding from Penn State faculty and staff. Funding can be obtained for programs that address one of the seven "challenges" identified in "A Framework to Foster Diversity at Penn State: 2010-15."

Examples of programs that EOPC has funded in the past include "We Listen: Digital Stories of the Penn State Campuses," which uses online technology to share the untold or hidden stories of students, faculty and staff from outside the mainstream public eye to enhance understanding of diversity for the campus community and beyond, and Healthy People Penn State Research Conference and Expo. Healthy People was aimed at exposing diverse undergraduate students to graduate opportunities in the colleges of Health and Human Development and Nursing.

Information on other EOPC programs can be found at http://equity.psu.edu/eopc/eopc-programs.

The deadline to submit proposals for summer 2016 programs is Dec. 11, and for the academic year 2016-17, it is Jan. 15, 2016.

For more information on the training session or on developing EOPC proposals, contact Mike Blanco at mhb4@psu.edu or 814-863-7890.
