University Police seek information on reported assault

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Police are investigating an assault incident that occurred at the intersection of College Avenue and Allen Street, after the Penn State vs. San Diego State football game. On Sunday, Sept. 27, at 12:58 a.m., the pictured individuals assaulted a student while the student was waiting for a ride. The incident may have started at Bill Pickles Tap Room on Allen Street in State College shortly before the assault.

Anyone with information should contact Penn State University Police at (814) 863-1111 or Centre County Crime Stoppers at tip@centrecountycrimestoppers.org. Persons providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 from Centre County Crime Stoppers.

University Police would also like to remind the community to:

  • Never walk around alone – travel in at least groups of two or more
  • If you see someone getting victimized, get involved by calling University Police at 3-1111, 911 or directly by using an emergency phone.
