Blue & White Society to host Wing Bowl Nov. 19 to benefit Relay For Life

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Blue & White Society will be holding its annual wing-eating competition, dubbed the Wing Bowl, to benefit Relay For Life of Penn State at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Hintz Family Alumni Center.

There are a limited number of spots for the contest, but registration will be available at the door. Registration is $5 per person and $20 for teams of four. Individuals will be placed on teams. There will be a prize for the winning team. 

Local restaurants, including Primanti Bros., Quaker Steak and Lube, Zen Wings and Things, and Bonfatto’s, are supplying the wings that will be used in the competition. The event is free for spectators, but donations are greatly appreciated.

The Blue & White Society is the student membership of the Penn State Alumni Association, with societies at campuses across the Commonwealth. With nearly 9,000 members, it is the largest and one of the most active student organizations at Penn State. The Blue & White Society plans many events on campus each year while also participating in events such as THON, Homecoming, Relay For Life and various community service programs.
