Commission for Adult Learners will receive nominations for Shirley Hendrick Award through Nov. 30

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Nominations are being accepted for the 2016 Shirley Hendrick Award, which recognizes a University administrator whose visionary accomplishments have contributed significantly to foster and increase Penn State’s efforts to serve the adult learner.

The Commission for Adult Learners will accept nominations through Nov. 30.

The award recipient will be featured at the Hendrick Best Practices for Adult Learners Conference on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel on the University Park campus.

Nominations are open to administrators across the University, whose efforts have made an impact on the accessibility of programs and services available to adult learners throughout the University community.

Hendrick, who served as an associate dean for continuing education in the Smeal College of Business, was a tireless advocate for adult learners. The award was named in her honor.
