UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Celine Whitlinger captured College Hockey America (CHA) Goaltender of the Week honors for the seventh time in her career, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

The senior netminder kept the No. 1 Minnesota Golden Gopher offense in check in the season-opener last week, as she tallied 41 saves and allowed just one goal.With a little over a minute left to play in regulation, the Nittany Lions trailed, 1-0, before the Golden Gophers tacked on an empty net goal.

Whitlinger and the Nittany Lions return to the ice this weekend as they head to Boston, Mass., for a two-game tilt against the No. 8 Boston University Terriers. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10.
