Seniors: Voting for 2016 class gift begins Monday, Oct. 5

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, Penn State seniors will have the opportunity to vote for the 2016 class gift, either in person on the ground floor of the HUB-Robeson Center, or online at www.classgift.psu.edu. Voting will be open through Friday, Oct. 9.

“Voting week is an exciting time,” said Haley Kerstetter, director of logistics for the class gift. “The Class of 2016 finally has the opportunity to begin laying the foundations of their legacy, and voting week is the process that starts this.”

The ballot selection committee is currently in the process of narrowing down proposals submitted by members of the University community. The committee, comprised of Penn State students, faculty and staff, will select the top three for next week’s ballot. Descriptions of the three gifts, and voting and pledging information will be available online and at the voting tables. Seniors will then have the opportunity to vote for their choice. The results will be announced at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, on the main floor of the HUB.

Although seniors are the only ones permitted to vote, anyone can stop by the HUB during the week to learn about Penn State’s Class Gift Program.
