Nittany Lions at Ohio State; nonperishable items collected at the door

UPPER BURRELL, Pa. -- The Alle-Kiski Society of the Penn State Alumni Association invites all Penn State fans to a televised football game party on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Elks Lodge on Sixth Street in Tarentum.

The Penn State Nittany Lions take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in a Big Ten battle at 8 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio, and the pre-game reception begins at 7 p.m. Refreshments are provided along with a cash bar.

In conjunction with the football game, the alumni society is sponsoring a food drive. Penn State fans are encouraged to bring canned food and nonperishable items, such as paper products and infant/baby supplies, to the Elks Lodge. The society will donate the collected items to the Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank, which serves the local region.

The Alle-Kiski Society is based at Penn State New Kensington and represents more than 7,000 Penn State alumni living in the Alle-Kiski Valley.
