Lion Scouts to mark 30 years with HUB celebration

University Park, Pa. — Penn State Lion Scouts will be celebrating 30 years of dedication to the undergraduate admissions office on Wednesday, Sept. 23 on the ground floor of the HUB-Robeson Center with special guest speaker President Eric Barron. The event is free and open to all Penn State students.

Established in 1985, Lion Scouts is a University-affiliated organization whose student volunteers serve as tour guides to prospective and accepted students. By giving tours and participating in phone-a-thons and chatrooms, Penn State Lion Scouts become the face of the University to prospective students and their families.

Students are invited to join the celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to enjoy musical entertainment, cake and ice cream. President Barron will speak at 11:30 a.m. The event is to take place on the stage on the ground floor of the HUB.

Students interested in applying to join the organization can learn more on the Lion Scouts website, www.admissions.psu.edu/LionScouts.
