UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — After the Homecoming game against Indiana on Oct. 10, enjoy a fun and convenient celebration with the Alumni Association, and also meet Penn State alumni Keegan-Michael Key, 1996g, and Ian Rosenberger, 2003. Tailgate with the Penn State celebrities during the Alumni Zone at the Indoor Multi-Sport Facility, near the Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus. Doors open immediately after the fourth quarter ends, and details and registration information are available online.
Key is a producer, actor and writer currently starring on Comedy Central’s "Key and Peele;" he was honored by the Alumni Association with the Alumni Fellow Award in 2014. Rosenberger has founded both Team Tassy and Thread in response to the Haiti earthquake in 2010 and is a former "Survivor" contestant. Key will serve as grand marshal of the Homecoming parade, and Rosenberger will act as honorary grand marshal.
Alumni Zone features a complete tailgate buffet, with old favorites like grilled stickies and Berkey Creamery ice cream, along with refreshments. A special kids-only buffet also will be available.
In addition to meeting Key and Rosenberger, receive a free T-shirt, play games, win prizes and revel in entertainment by the Alumni Blue Band, alumni majorettes and alumni Lionettes. Cost: $30 Alumni Association members, $45 nonmembers and $15 children (5 and under free). A limited number of walk-ins will be accepted on a space-available basis with an additional $10 fee per person.
