UPPER BURRELL, Pa. -- Prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to discover the benefits of attending Penn State New Kensington at five admissions events during September, October and November. These programs will acquaint students and parents with the campus and Penn State's wide variety of academic programs. Additional events will be held in the spring.

Open HouseThe fall open house at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 will give students and their families an introduction to Penn State. Patty Brady, director of enrollment management, and the admissions/student life staff will talk about the admission process, applying for financial aid, and getting involved in student activities. In addition, a faculty panel will discuss the University's various academic opportunities. A campus tour and lunch will also be provided.

Application DayThe Application Day workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8. The admissions staff will help students complete the application form and answer questions about the admissions process. The $50 application fee will be waived. In addition, prospective students who indicate New Kensington as their first preference may receive an admissions decision within a week if they bring a high school transcript and their SAT or ACT scores. Appointments are highly recommended. If you can’t make it, a second Application Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16.
