UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Music legend Paul McCartney has confirmed his first-ever performance in central Pennsylvania, as the former Beatles star will take the stage at 8 p.m. on Oct. 15 at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus, as part of his acclaimed “Out There” tour.

With tour stops in Japan, South Korea, Europe, the U.K., and the U.S., the “Out There” tour features music spanning McCartney’s entire career — as a Beatle, as a member of the band Wings, and as a solo artist. The set list also includes material from “New,” McCartney’s most recent studio album released in 2013.

The three-hour show relives some of the greatest moments from the last 50 years of music, enhanced by state of the art technology and production that includes massive screens, lasers, fireworks, and unique video content.

McCartney and his band have performed in an impressive range of venues and locations, including outside the Coliseum in Rome, in Moscow's Red Square, Buckingham Palace, at the White House, a free show in Mexico for more than 400,000 people, and the last show ever at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park — the same venue where The Beatles played their final concert.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31. Tickets can be purchased at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, the Penn State Downtown Theatre, www.ticketmaster.com, or 1-800-745-3000. American Express card members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 until 10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30.
