Weight Watchers at Work special offered to University employees

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Weight Watchers is offering a special to Penn State employees: Any Penn Stater who joins one of the University Park Weight Watchers at Work meetings during the week of Aug. 3 will receive a free cookbook and a coupon for 50 percent off of any Weight Watchers product (excluding the Fitbit and Active Links).

University Park has two locations for Weight Watchers at Work: 503 James M. Elliott Building from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Tuesdays, and 126 Housing and Food Services Building from 12:15 to 1:10 p.m. on Wednesdays. Participants may join the meeting at any time and do not have to wait for a specific start date.

Penn State’s Office of Human Resources offers all full-time employees a subsidized six-month rate for Weight Watchers programs. Employees who take advantage of this rate may participate in a Weight Watchers at Work session on campus or any Weight Watchers facility. (See the Penn State Weight Watchers Web page for eligible sites near Penn State campuses.) After the six-month subsidized rate of $18.25 per month expires, employees are eligible to participate at the Penn State corporate rate of $36.50 per month.

For information about the Penn State Weight Watchers rates and to register in the subsidized or discounted program, employees should go to Penn State Weight Watchers. In order to receive the cookbook and coupon, employees should purchase their monthly pass through the portal before attending one of the University Park sessions.
