University Town Hall meeting for OPP employees scheduled for July 28

Meeting also will be aired online via live stream

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A University Town Hall meeting to provide Office of Physical Plant (OPP) employees a chance to learn about the new and ongoing initiatives at the University, ask questions and share suggestions is scheduled from 10 to 11:30 a.m. July 28, in 100 Thomas Building on the University Park campus of Penn State.

Provost Nick Jones and Senior Vice President David Gray will meet specifically with OPP employees in a forum similar to the first University Town Hall meeting that took place June 2. Topics at the first meeting included child care, employee benefits and University investments.

“This is a unique opportunity to engage more deeply, and I encourage all day-shift employees to attend in person,” said Ford Stryker, associate vice president of OPP.

Transportation to the Town Hall will be available, with a bus picking up employees at the OPP Building front parking lot at 9:30 a.m., followed by a second bus once the first is filled. A bus also will be available to take employees back to the OPP Building following the Town Hall meeting.

Those employees who cannot attend in person will be able to watch the meeting online via a live stream. The archived video of the meeting will be available on the OPP home page a few days after the event.

Questions and comments may be submitted in advance by sending an email to opptownhall@psu.edu, or on cards at the July 28 Town Hall. Jones and Gray will do their best to respond to as many of the topics submitted as possible.
