Michele Parson recently delivered a check for $20,000 to the Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute. The money was raised during the 10th annual Breast Cancer Fundraiser Dinner/Dance on March 28. The funds will be split between the Michele Parson Breast Cancer Research Fund and Dr. Craig Meyers’ breast cancer research. Joining her were members of her planning committee, the “Pink Ladies” – Kim Neumayer, Lori Comp and Michele’s sister, Brucetta Shatto.
Since 2008, the event has contributed $141,000 to breast cancer research at the Cancer Institute. The 11th annual Breast Cancer Fundraiser Dinner/Dance will be held March 19 at the Letort View Community Center in Carlisle.
