Lunch and Learn to focus on breast density and cancer risk

Penn State Hershey Breast Center specialists will host a lunch and learn program about breast density from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 24,  in the Rotunda Cafe on the Penn State Hershey campus. More than 50 percent of women have dense breast tissue and may have an increased risk of developing breast cancer.

Session topics will include:

• What is breast density and what are the associated risks?

• How can breast density affect the detection of cancer in a mammogram?

• What should I do if I have dense breasts?

• How do I know if I’m considered high risk?

Attendees can meet members of the Breast Center team, ask questions and take home educational materials.

Bring a lunch. Light refreshments will be provided. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. To register, visit the Breast Center website.
