Sixth annual Scarnati/Cawley 100 raises $27K for Hummingbird Program

Shelly Brown, major staff administrator, and Maria Wilhelm, executive assistant, from Sen. Joe Scarnati’s office visited Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital recently to present a check for $27,904.79 to the Hummingbird Program. The money was raised through the sixth annual Scarnati/Cawley 100 which took place Sept. 12-14. The three-day, 100-mile bike ride raises funds for children’s hospitals including Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Over the last six years, the event has raised about $770,000.The seventh annual Scarnati/Cawley 100 will take place Sept. 11-13. The route takes riders from Gettysburg to York (46 miles), York to Hershey (36 miles) and Hershey to Annville (19 miles) over three days. More information will be available leading up to the event.
