School of Theatre presents Broadway On Allen and Nu. Musical Theatre Festival

STATE COLLEGE, PA – The Penn State School of Theatre will present the 2015 Broadway On Allen series in collaboration with FUSE Productions and the NU. Musical Theatre Festival in the Penn State Downtown Theatre Center this summer. This season’s series includes FUSE’s Disney Tribute on June 10, 11 and 12; sneak-peek performances on June 17, 18 and 19 of FUSE’s upcoming production of "Les Misérables"; and preview performances of the Penn State NU. Musical Theatre Festival’s 2015 season on June 24, 25, and 26. All Broadway On Allen performances take place at noon and are free and open to the public.In addition, the NU. Musical Theatre Festival’s Cabernet and Cabaret performances will feature a salute to new musical theatre works on June 12, and special guest Nicole Johndrow and her critically acclaimed show "Mixtape Confession: The Diary of a Teenage Optimist" on July 3. Austin Eyer and Beth Burrier, at 5 p.m. July 8, 9, 10 and 11. Admission to preview performances of "Something Wicked This Way Comes" on July 6 and 7 is free and open to the public. Musical theatre works in development are selected each season to be work-shopped and performed as a staged reading.
